NLC City Summit

Synopsis

All participants welcome, but we encourage attendees to have taken Certification 101 in advance. Regardless of whether you are far along in the process of using data to inform your city’s decisions or just getting started, What Works Cities Certification can help you assess your current state of practice and create a roadmap for how to improve. In Certification 101, you learned about what to expect from the Certification process. As a next step, join Results for America and Center for Government Excellence at Johns Hopkins University for Certification 201, a deep dive into the Certification criteria to fully understand the practices, policies, and people necessary to become a high-performing city. Participants will hear case studies of certified cities and stories of cities that are just starting their journey toward becoming certified. Through interactive exercises, participants will leave with clear next steps for driving their city toward excellence.
